Behr Premium 1-Part Epoxy Concrete & Garage Floor Paint

4.2$48

A no-mix, self-priming 1-part epoxy paint that is the budget entry point for coating a garage floor. Best for basements, porches or a quick cosmetic refresh rather than a heavy-use two-car bay that sees daily hot tires.

Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Garage Floor Coating Kit (2.5-Car)

Our verdict

This is the classic budget-versus-durability trade. Behr Premium 1-Part is a self-priming paint you roll straight from the can for under $50 a gallon, with no mixing and no pot-life clock, ideal for basements, porches and low-traffic floors. EpoxyShield is a true 2-part epoxy that costs more and must be mixed and used within its pot life, but it builds a thicker, roughly 5x more durable film with included decorative flakes. Both need about a week or 3 days respectively before vehicle traffic. Pick Behr to save money on a light-use floor, and EpoxyShield when a busy garage needs real hot-tire and abrasion resistance.
