The Bosch T144D is a 4 in, 6 TPI high-carbon-steel jigsaw blade tuned for speed in wood, plywood and particleboard. Its aggressive tooth pattern chews through thick softwood and framing lumber quickly, and the T-shank fits about 90% of modern jigsaws tool-free. It is an economical fast-cut companion to a fine clean-cut blade - just expect a rougher edge and keep it off metal, which needs a fine HSS blade instead.
Pros
- Aggressive 6 TPI teeth rip through wood far faster than fine finish blades
- 4 in length cuts stock from 1/4 in up to about 2-3/8 in thick
- Universal T-shank mounts tool-free in roughly 90% of jigsaws
Cons
- Coarse teeth leave a splintered edge - not for veneer or finish cuts
- High-carbon steel dulls quickly in hardwoods and cannot cut metal
- Flexes more than a narrow scroll blade on tight curves
