The purpose-built washer-head screw that makes Kreg pocket-hole joints tight and flush, but only for interior joinery.
Pros
- Flat-bottom Maxi-Loc washer head seats correctly in a Kreg pocket and won't overdrive
- Type-17 auger tip self-taps, so joints don't split even near board ends
- Square drive grips the bit and pulls joints tight with almost no cam-out
Cons
- Zinc finish is interior-only; exterior pocket-hole work needs the blue-Kote or stainless version
- Coarse thread is matched to softwood/ply; hardwoods want the fine-thread screw instead
- Proprietary pocket-hole geometry means these aren't a general-purpose wood screw
