- Ripping
- Hardwood
- Thick stock
The Diablo D1024X is a 10 in, 24-tooth dedicated rip blade for table saws, built to power through thick hardwood, plywood and OSB. Deep gullets and a 15-degree hook feed aggressively so the motor never bogs, while TiCo carbide and Perma-SHIELD coating hold up to heat and pitch on long rips. It is a specialist: fast and clean along the grain, but the coarse grind and full kerf make it a poor crosscut or sheet-good blade.
Pros
- 24-tooth deep-gullet grind rips thick hardwood fast without bogging the saw
- Aggressive 15-degree hook angle feeds smoothly through dense stock
- Perma-SHIELD coating resists pitch and heat on long rips
Cons
- 24 teeth leave saw marks that need cleanup on finish edges
- Poor for crosscutting - it tears out veneer and melamine
- Full 0.098 in kerf wastes more wood and taxes lower-power saws
